Les Deux Magots is one of the most famous cafes and restaurants in Paris. A large number of well known artists, writers, philosophers and others have over the years been regulars here. Picasso, Hemingway, Sartre and Beauvoir visited Les Deux Magot regularly. If you have seen the French film The Untouchables, with François Cluzet, you will see that one of the scenes were recorded on the terrace of the restaurant overlooking the Place Saint- Germain- des -Pres. The dishes are well prepared and so is the price. However, I would still recommend a dinner at Les Deux Magots. It is an experience. Try Escargots de Bourgogne sauvages Géants – delicious snails from Burgundy. Onglet the Race “Rouge des Prés”, pommes de terre sautées à la Cive, jus à la mill – Onglet with marrow sauce. Tarte Tatin chaude avec glace – Classic tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream.
