It is a real pleasure to eat in Sorrento. For although Sorrento in the city center is full of tourists several of the city’s restaurants have an excellent selection of dishes prepared with the region’s own delicious products. Fresh seafood, lamb, locally produced mozzarella di buffala and much more.
L’Abate is a cozy restaurant with a good quality of the region’s cuisine. Polite and efficient waiters. On this first night in Sorrento, I had Prosciutto di Parma con Mozzarella di Buffala. Exciting with the combination of parma ham and mozzarella.
The main course was Costoletto di agnello alla griglia. Delicious lamb at its best. For dessert, I chose profiteroles al cioccolato. Fantastic. Finally, I finished with an espresso and a glass of ice cold Limoncello.
